RaceQ (“RaceQ,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and handled when you use the RaceQ mobile application (“App”).

RaceQ is an application for racing fans that provides race information and schedules, championship standings, wallpapers, home-screen widgets, and related motorsport content.

By using RaceQ, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

RaceQ does not require you to create an account, and we do not intentionally ask you to provide personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, or physical address to use the App.

However, certain technical and usage information may be collected automatically through services integrated into the App.

Analytics and Usage Information

RaceQ uses Google Analytics for Firebase (Firebase Analytics) to help us understand how the App is used and improve its functionality, reliability, and user experience.

Depending on your device, operating system, Firebase configuration, and applicable privacy settings, analytics information may include information such as:

• App interactions and events;

• Features or screens viewed;

• App version;

• Device type and operating system information;

• General technical information;

• App instance or device-related identifiers;

• Approximate usage and engagement information; and

• Diagnostic and performance-related information where applicable.

We use this information primarily to understand how RaceQ is used, identify problems, evaluate features, and improve the App.

We do not use Firebase Analytics to intentionally collect information such as your name, email address, or phone number.

Google may process information collected through Firebase in accordance with its own terms and privacy policies.

2. How We Use Information

Information collected through RaceQ may be used to:

• Operate, maintain, and improve the App;

• Understand which RaceQ features are useful to users;

• Measure App usage and engagement;

• Diagnose crashes, errors, performance issues, and technical problems;

• Improve race schedules, standings, wallpapers, widgets, and other App experiences;

• Maintain the security and reliability of the App; and

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Third-Party Services

RaceQ uses third-party services that may process limited information from your device.

Firebase Analytics

RaceQ uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the App is used and to improve its features and performance.

Google may process certain device, application, identifier, and usage information when this service is enabled.

Firebase Crashlytics

RaceQ uses Google Firebase Crashlytics to identify, diagnose, and fix crashes and technical issues.

Google may process crash reports, diagnostic data, device and application information, and related technical information.

Google’s processing of information through Firebase services is governed by its applicable privacy terms and policies.

4. Race Information and Standings

RaceQ provides motorsport-related information such as race schedules, event information, championship standings, and related data.

RaceQ may obtain this information from publicly available information, licensed sources, third-party data providers, or other sources.

Your viewing of race schedules or standings may generate ordinary analytics events as described in this Privacy Policy.

6. Wallpapers

RaceQ may allow users to browse, view, save, or use motorsport-related wallpapers.

If RaceQ requests access to photos, storage, or similar device functionality for saving wallpapers, that access is used only as necessary to provide the requested feature, subject to your device permissions.

RaceQ does not intentionally upload your personal photos or media to our servers unless a feature expressly informs you otherwise.

5. Widgets

RaceQ provides widgets that may display information such as upcoming races, schedules, standings, or other motorsport information.

Information necessary to operate widgets may be stored locally on your device or shared between the RaceQ App and its widget components.

Widget functionality itself is not intended to collect personal information beyond the analytics and technical information described in this Privacy Policy.

6. Data Sharing

We may disclose or make information available to service providers that process information on our behalf, including analytics and technical infrastructure providers such as Google Firebase.

We may also disclose information where reasonably necessary to:

• Comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or lawful governmental requests;

• Protect the rights, property, security, or safety of RaceQ, our users, or others;

• Investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, or violations of applicable terms; or

• Facilitate a merger, acquisition, restructuring, sale, or transfer involving RaceQ, subject to applicable law.

We do not sell personal information collected through RaceQ.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, subject to our technical requirements, legitimate business needs, and applicable legal obligations.

Information processed by third-party providers such as Google Firebase may be retained according to our configuration of those services and the provider's applicable retention practices.

Because RaceQ does not currently require user accounts, we may not be able to associate analytics information with a particular individual based solely on a deletion request.

Where applicable, you may contact us using the information below to ask questions about deletion or other privacy rights. We will respond to valid requests as required by applicable law.

You may also be able to limit certain analytics or identifier-related processing through your device privacy settings where such controls are available.

8. Data Security

We take reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect information processed through RaceQ.

However, no method of electronic transmission, storage, or processing is completely secure. We therefore cannot guarantee absolute security.

Third-party services used by RaceQ maintain their own security practices and are responsible for protecting information they process in accordance with their respective obligations.

9. Children's Privacy

RaceQ is a general-audience motorsport application and is not specifically directed to young children.

We do not knowingly request that children provide us with personal information.

If we become aware that personal information from a child has been collected in a manner that violates applicable law, we will take reasonable steps to delete or otherwise appropriately handle that information.

Parents or guardians who believe a child has provided personal information to RaceQ may contact us using the details below.

10. International Data Processing

RaceQ's third-party service providers may process information on servers located outside your country or region.

As a result, information may be processed in jurisdictions with privacy and data protection laws that differ from those in your location.

Where required, appropriate safeguards will be used for international transfers of personal information.

11. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, applicable privacy laws may provide rights relating to personal information, which may include rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing.

You may contact us to exercise an applicable privacy right.

Because RaceQ does not currently maintain user accounts and does not intentionally collect directly identifying account information, we may sometimes be unable to identify particular analytics records as belonging to you.

12. Device Permissions

RaceQ may request device permissions when necessary to provide particular functionality, such as saving wallpapers.

You can manage App permissions through your device settings. Disabling a permission may prevent the associated RaceQ feature from functioning correctly.

We will not use a device permission for purposes materially different from those communicated when the permission is requested without providing appropriate notice or consent where required.

13. Third-Party Links and Content

RaceQ may contain links to external websites, services, or content operated by third parties.

We are not responsible for the privacy, security, availability, or content practices of third-party services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of third parties before providing information to them.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes to RaceQ, our third-party services, legal requirements, or privacy practices.

When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this Privacy Policy.

Material changes may also be communicated through the App or another appropriate method where required.

RaceQ is an independent, unofficial racing companion app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Formula One, the FIA, any team, driver, or related rights holder.

References to races, teams, drivers, circuits, and related content are used solely for informational and identification purposes and do not imply any official association or endorsement.
